This block on the Special Acknowledgements page is dedicated to highlighting a Soror each month who has donated and contributed to the success of our chapter. Krystal Daniels was initiated into the Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in December 2017. She has since been a dedicated member, serving on and supporting various committees, including Sisterly Relations, Black Family Reunion, and Membership. Within the Great Lakes Region, she has also contributed to the Regional Sisterly Relations Committee.
Krystal became the Graduate Advisor for the Omicron Chapter in 2024, where she has played a pivotal role in mentoring and empowering undergraduate members. She is deeply committed to fostering growth, accountability, and leadership within the chapter, all while maintaining the values of Alpha Kappa Alpha.
Outside of her sorority involvement, Krystal balances her professional pursuits with her role as a loving mom of three. She is known for her resourcefulness, problem-solving mindset, and unwavering dedication to both her family and her sorority sisters.
Elshaddai was initiated into the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in April 2024. A fourth-year Computer Science major and MBA candidate at the University of Cincinnati, she combines her academic expertise with her passion for service and innovation.
As Chapter Web Master, Elshaddai utilized her web development skills to design and build the chapter’s website from scratch, beginning the project in May 2024. She has invested months into creating a modern, user-friendly platform that reflects the sorority’s values and legacy. She continues to maintain and enhance the site to ensure it remains a valuable resource for members and visitors alike.
Elshaddai also serves as Parliamentarian, where she maintains governance and oversees the review and updating of chapter bylaws. As Chapter Historian, she works to preserve and showcase Omicron’s rich legacy, including curating the Boule exhibit celebrating over 100 years of chapter history. Additionally, as Ivy Leaf Reporter, she manages public relations, effectively communicating the chapter’s initiatives and accomplishments to the broader community.
