The Family Stories Program takes place during UC Family Weekend. Through the sharing of personal family histories, this program strives to promote a profound sense of self-awareness among attendees, creating a space where stories from the past can inspire, enlighten, and unite us all. This event not only celebrates our diverse backgrounds but also strengthens our bonds, making it a memorable and impactful experience for everyone involved.
Mid February
The Oratorical Tea Rose Speech Contest is a scholarship competition where participants present a 2-3 minute speech on topics related to the national program "Advocate for Social Justice." By engaging in this contest, participants not only hone their public speaking skills but also raise awareness about social justice matters. Through their speeches, contestants can inspire change and motivate others to join the movement for social justice, making a meaningful contribution to their communities.
